"I do not intend to be interesting. I intend to be good." Reviewing this villa you simply cannot avoid to quote Mies van der Rohe. Not often you find an owner who together with the architect envisons such a clear concept and -even more important- consistently executes it. You will sense this from your first footsteps on the property. Like an epiphany the bright white villa stands in the middle of a wheat field. There is no real footpath but some countersunk blocks of wood leading the way. You instantly realize that this house was not made to master nature but to establish a dialogue with the surrounding wilderness. Everything here is reduced to the quintessential of things aiming mainly to offer a platform for reconnecting with nature. We consider this villa to be applied officially as a prescriptive remedy because if you do not feel the effect of either falling in deep relaxation or euphoria you really should consult a doctor. The Parisian architect Pascal Tchedjavadi who, together with the owner idealised a sophisticated, modern structure to break from the traditional, rustic feel of the old finca, matched them together to create a comfortable space with high ceilings, thick walls and traditional elements in wood. You do not need to have a degree in architecture to sense the very uniqueness of this house. Neither in arts to love the pieces of artists such as Carles Congost, Garret Phelan or Esprito Santo. The way the various elements such as the Zen garden and the black granite pool interact is simply "good". To give an example of the spirit of the concept: the 20 meter pool is not purified by chlorine but a natural salt system. We dare to say that currently this is the classiest villa to rent in Ibiza. Architectural Digest France is featuring this outstanding villa in its June edition.
